Misleading clients and not providing crucial piece of information

Laura La Redoute 18.09.2024 Signaler Plainte signalée

I needed to return an item which was eligible for a free return. La Redoute provided a post office label for that to return items for free. When I attempted to do the return at the post office (naturally), i was charged 7fr for tthe return that was supposed to be free. When I challenged La Redoute regarding this they washed their hands saying that they told me it could be returned at some kiosk. They failed however to provide crucial detail that it can ONLY be returned at a kiosk free of charge. They failed to provide the full context and misled me in thinking I should return the parcel via post office given that the label was for the POST OFFICE and didn’t mention any kiosk. La Redoute didn’t handle this complaint well at all. They should refund me this cost as it was supposed to be free of charge and also, introduce clearer measures eg add information on the label that it’s a kiosk and not a post office label.
